Joyce Brady
Funeral Arranger

I joined Mead Mortuary in 2005 as an office assistant. I currently am a funeral arranger, and assist our families in making meaningful choices for their loved one. I am involved in several organizations in our community, and volunteer with them to help make our community a better place.

April Evett
Funeral Assistant

Having been born and raised in Barstow, my family had been familiar with Mead Mortuary for years. The funeral business has always fascinated me, and so, when I was given the opportunity to come work for Mead, I jumped at the chance. I’ve been working as a death certificate clerk and memorial specialist for nearly 2 years now and love my job. It is my deepest honor to serve the friends and families that come through our doors.

Melinda Johnson
Administrative Assistant

Born and raised in this area, I feel blessed with the opportunity to serve my community every day. I work as the administrative assistant for Mead Mortuary. My funeral industry career began in 2003 when I started making removals and assisting with funeral services. Eager to learn the business, I have been an apprentice embalmer, death certificate clerk, funeral arranger, interim manager, and am a licensed funeral director.

Ray Magorno
Funeral Assistant

Jamie Payne
Funeral Arranger

I have a long history with Funeral Service, my family owned O’Donnell Funeral Home, and had five locations in the surrounding area. I am a lifelong resident of Barstow and became a funeral arranger at Mead in 2007. I strive to help my families in every possible way because I believe that a family may forget what you said but they will never forget how you made them feel.
